SHIMANO ALIVIO CS-HG400 9-speed cassette has larger hollow spaces in the spockets, which is a weight saving of approximately 11%, when compared to previous generation cassette - HG50-9 with 11-34 teeth. HG cassettes are compatible with Shimano HG and provide silent and fluent gear shifting. HG spockets guide the chain quickly and directly to the next spocket without overdrive.
